What’s important to know about RunPee is that we do not, and will not, share your personal information with any third parties — ever. (I’ve been offered money for such things and flatly turned them down.)
Pera is a separate app from the creator of RunPee. We share your information with Pera only when you expressly approve it — by tapping Open Pera in the RunPee app and then confirming the link inside Pera. Until you do both, nothing is shared.
Once you approve the link, RunPee shares your Movie Library with Pera — which movies you’ve marked as seen, and when — and keeps it up to date as you add or remove movies. To make signing up easier, Pera can also fill in your RunPee email address during that step; you are free to use a different one. Nothing else from your RunPee account is shared.
You can unlink at any time, from the RunPee menu (Linked to Pera → Unlink) or from Pera. Sharing stops immediately, and your RunPee account and Movie Library are unaffected. Deleting your RunPee account also ends the link.
If you enter a RunPee promotion, such as a sweepstakes, we collect your email address, your country, and the date, time and IP address of your entry and of its confirmation. We use them only to run that promotion and to contact the winner. If you choose to subscribe to the RunPee newsletter, we use your email address and the topics you pick to send it, and you can unsubscribe from any issue. As with everything else here, none of it is ever sold or shared with third parties. RunPee is based in the United States, and this information is stored there.
RunPee helps users find optimal bathroom break times during movies. We do not collect, store, or share any personal health or medical data. The app does not monitor, track, or record any health conditions or bodily functions.
We retain your account data (email, poll responses, movie library) for as long as your account is active. You can delete your data at any time inside the RunPee app — tap on the menu at the top-right and select My Data. Deletion is immediate and permanent; it cannot be undone. Anonymous analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ standard retention policies.
We may collect non-personally identifiable information, such as IP host address, pages viewed, operating system type, duration and frequency of visits, or other data, and may aggregate any information collected in a manner which does not identify any individual (“Aggregate Information”). Aggregate Information obtained in connection with the RunPee app may be intermingled with and used by us in conjunction with information obtained through sources other than the app, including both offline and online sources. Aggregate Information may be shared by us with third parties by allowing them to link to and collect data from the app. This data will be used for their benefit and for ours, for marketing, advertising, or other purposes, including analysis of the app for purposes of improving your experience with the app.
As a convenience to you, we may provide links to third-party sites from within our app. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third parties or third-party sites. We encourage you to review these privacy policies to ensure that you are familiar with their terms.
If you use any extra plug-ins or third-party applications (“Applications”) in connection with the app, the provider(s) of these Applications may obtain access to certain personal information about you. We do not and cannot control how the providers of Applications may use any personal information collected in connection with such Applications. Please be sure to review any privacy policies or other terms applicable to your use of these Applications prior to installation.
Certain features of the RunPee app or advertising in the app may access third-party apps on your phone, like your messaging app. No personal information is stored by RunPee in accessing any third-party app.
RunPee maintains official social media presence on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and BlueSky. RunPee uses a self-hosted publishing tool to schedule and post its own marketing content to these channels. This outbound activity does not collect, transmit, or share personal data of RunPee app users with any social platform — only RunPee’s own content (videos, captions, images) is published.
We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions from this Privacy Policy at any time. Your continued use of the RunPee app following the posting of any changes to this Privacy Policy means you accept and consent to such changes.
